Meet Elise.Elise was born with a rare neurological deformity called Lissencephaly, or “smooth brain.” Some of the symptoms include profound developmental delays, muscle weakness, difficulties in chewing and swallowing, and seizures which are medically difficult to manage.
Despite her physical limitations, Elise has always been a light to those around her, spreading her love and sunshine to everyone she meets! She is always eager to make a new friend, give a hug and a smile to a random stranger, and share her innocent, cheerful attitude about life. Now she is struggling with multiple health problems, made increasingly difficult by her escalated seizure rate. Due to her unstable situation, she is requiring the addition of a special adaptive bedroom and bathroom for her on the ground floor of her family's home. In addition to the expense of multiple upcoming surgeries, this project places a significant financial burden on her family. But you can help!
We will be planning multiple fundraising efforts to assist Elise’s family in creating the perfect personal space for this Little Miss Sunshine! How can you help?
